- How to Measure Blackout Blinds
-
Note that in the case of blinds that exceed 1900 mm in width or come in drops of over 2800 mm, the fabric may have a joint in the surface.
Please choose one of the options below in accordance with your window before placing the order:
1. INSIDE RECESS - 3 mm will be automatically deducted from the inserted measurements. The blind, including the brackets and controls, will be fitted inside the window recess.
2. OUTSIDE RECESS - the width of the blind will be the exact inserted size, from one bracket to another. The image bellow illustrates the correct measurement of the blind: the cloth size plus the controls and the brackets form the width of the blind.
3. CLOTH SIZE - you only need to type in the size of the cloth and we will automatically add the size of the brackets and of the controls to the size of the blind. This option makes blinds incompatible with inside recess installation. Please make sure that there is enough space to install the blind.
Blind width Brackets size Up to 1800mm wide 33mm Over 1800mm wide 50mm Make sure to make an allowance for the blind so that it overlaps in the sides when the blind is placed outside the recess for a complete covering of the window and blocking of the light.
Choose whether the blind will be placed inside or outside the recess and make sure that there are no obstacles such as window or door handles that will come in the way of the blind.
Make sure you use a steel tape measurer and that the given sizes are expressed in millimetres.
As standard, the blinds are provided with controls on the right side, chains and brackets in white and straight edge finish.
